Check-In / Check-Out
Check-In is from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 10:00 pm so we can accommodate your arrival. Check-Out is at 11:00am.
Minimum stay requirements vary, but a two night minimum stay is required on weekends as well as on holidays, during special events and during all of foliage season. Please feel free to call us and discuss your specific travel needs.
All rates are based on double occupancy, per night and are subject to change without notice. A 9% Vermont “Meals and Rooms” tax and a 3% transaction fee are included in all room rates.
The Patchwork Quilt room can accommodate three (3) people and the Puppy Palace can accommodate four (4) people. The charge for each additional person is $20 per night and includes breakfast.
All bookings must be secured by a deposit of 50% of the reserved stay with a minimum of one room night. The remainder of the charges for your stay will be charged at checkout. Single night stays require a deposit of the full amount.
A major credit card is required to secure your stay – you may pay with an alternate payment method at checkout. We accept cash, traveler’s checks, and most major credit cards.
Being a small Inn cancellations and no shows affect us significantly. Therefore, cancellations must be made fourteen (14) days prior to the date of arrival to avoid forfeiture of your deposit (during “Peak Seasons” we may require up to thirty (30) days notice of cancellation). All cancellations are subject to a minimum $25 per room cancellation fee. In the event the cancellation is received less than fourteen (14) days prior to your arrival (thirty (30) days for “Peak Seasons”), no deposit will be refunded, unless the entire reservation can be re-booked. Any reservation rescheduled within our cancellation period will be charged in full. If subsequently cancelled, no refund will be made. Early departures fall within our cancellation policy. We cannot be responsible for winter weather conditions, and weather is not a valid reason for cancellation. “Peak Seasons” include, but are not limited to, mid-September through the end of October, major holidays, and scheduled local events.
If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay.
One room key is provided during your stay. An additional key is available upon request. Lost keys will incur a $10 per key charge and will be billed to your credit card.
We love children, however, our Inn is not appropriate for infants, toddlers or young children; many of our guests are looking for a quiet getaway. Well-behaved children age twelve (12) and older are welcome in our home, however we do not provide a special children’s menu at breakfast.
We can accommodate dogs (other animals with prior approval) at the Inn. Our dog friendly room is limited to one (1) large breed (weight over 50 pounds) or two (2) small breeds (combined weight less than 100 pounds). There is an additional charge based on the size and/or the number of pets you bring. See our pet policy for additional information, rules and requirements.
Also, we can board your horse(s) in our barn for overnight or extended stays. Our riding ring, turnout and paddocks may be used as well. We must be contacted in advance to discuss stall space, price and your responsibilities. All horse owners are required to sign a waiver and provide documents indicating your horse is current with all necessary vaccinations.
Parking is limited to guests only as we have only one parking space per room. Please let us know in advance if you will need parking for more than one vehicle.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside our home. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Ash trays are available for your use outside. Please be courteous to others, smoking away from the house or open windows and please pick up after yourself. If evidence of smoking is found in your room, cleaning charges of $300 will billed to your credit card.
We serve a fixed selection cooked breakfast every morning between 8 and 10:00 a.m. Between 7 and 8:00 a.m. we have cold cereals, breads, juice and hot coffee available for our early risers. We are happy to prepare our delicious breakfast for those not staying at our inn. We require advance notice and charge $15 per breakfast.
You are welcome to enjoy your favorite beer, wine or spirit that you bring with you anywhere on our property. Refrigerator space is available upon request, however, space is limited to one six pack of beer and two bottles of wine per room. Items must be unopened and in their original containers.
Food and Leftovers
As noted above (in the “Alcohol” section) limited refrigerator space is available, however, Health Department regulations do not allow for opened food containers brought by our guests. Please, do not bring food or left-overs that you cannot keep in your guest room. Opened food or drink containers may not be kept in any of our refrigerators and will be disposed of immediately.
Items left behind at the Inn can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping + a $5 handling and packaging fee will be billed to your credit card.
This is our home and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.
